Urban Botanics Hydrating Body Lotion combines powerful botanical extracts along with liposome bound anti-oxidants, tea tree oil, and a 15% concentration of MSM (the biological form of sulfur) to protect and repair the skin from free radical damage. MSM is known for its ability to reduce pain locally as well as for softening the skin and helping with scrapes, cuts, and burns. Higher concentrations of MSM are not more useful, however, as MSM falls out of solution at a 16% concentration and would cause a lotion or crème to become grainy. Unlike moisturizers, which are designed to linger on the skin, this lotion is rapidly absorbing and is suitable for use all over the body. It has profound emollient properties without being greasy.
Although we use essential oil of lavender throughout the line, it is particularly appropriate for a product used all over the body because it is so highly regarded for the skin – relaxing, balancing, and useful to treat cuts, scrapes, bruises and skin irritations.
Like all Urban Botanics products, the Urban Botanics Hydrating Body Lotion is alcohol-free, paraben-free, propylene glycol-free and sulfate-free (sodium lauryl and laureth sulfates, ammonium lauryl and laureth sulfates).
